The front of Julia is cut vertically and horizontally for a playful effect, which also makes it a perfect pattern for color blocking. The pockets are incorporated in the horizontal seam. Last June we participated in the Sewing Weekender hosted by The Foldline. We hacked our Billie top pattern into a nice summer dress and created a video tutorial on how to adjust the pattern of the top into a dress with topstitched pockets, a belt and front vent.
